I hate David Blaine. He is such a tosser. Right now, I’m sitting at home watching this crappy “documentary” on his 44 days in the box that was suspended near Tower Bridge in London. All I have to say is, what a farce. He is playing all of this off. Right now they took his shirt off and weighed him, saying he lost about 60lbs in the time he’s been in the box. According to who? I don’t believe it. And hey, even if it’s true, so what? He porked himself up pretty good before this stunt because he knew he was going to lose weight. Honestly, he’s such an asshole. What was the point of this “stunt”? I think by doing this, he’s belittling the cause all those people who go on hunger strikes and who are really starving. I mean, he CHOSE to do this. No one forced him. Besides, it was probably an illusion of some kind anyway, like his living in a block of ice for days was. They had this special about his stunt a few weeks ago, where his handlers made a big deal of letting the newspeople test the water he’s been drinking to see if it was pure. Well of course it would be. But, and this is a big but, they had a nutritionist on the show to discuss if he could live just on water for 44 days, as he’s been purporting to do. The most interesting thing she said was this: David Blaine chose to bring a chapstick into the box with him, and if he surreptitiously licked it every once in a while, he would get all the salt he needed to survive. Hmmm… Also, they had this illusionist on the news program who mentioned that it would be very easy for Blaine to trade spaces in the box with a body double when the glass was “being cleaned”. So basically, I think it was a load of shite, and I’m sick of seeing it and reading about it. I hate that skeevy pig.
Anyway, in other news, I wanted to say congratulations to both Sheila and Angie, who got engaged last week (though not to each other!). I’m very happy for you guys, and can’t wait to have those bachelorette parties!
