Good news! My cousin Grace and her hubby Nick had a baby girl yesterday. And even though they didn't name her after yours truly, I am still thrilled, as are they, I'm sure :) Baby Lara was 5 pounds, 4 ounces. Pretty cool, huh? I can't wait to meet the new addition to my family. Sadly, it will have to wait until I come home this summer.

Anyway, I was going to post some of my favourite celebrity dumb quotes, but I'm going to save it for next week. In the meantime, check this out: Bush is CRAZY yo.

I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself lately. Well, since Friday, truth be told. Why? Because I fixed my computer, after MONTHS of it being kind of useless. Okay, it wasn't useless exactly. But all of my beautiful Aqua icons had disappeared, to be replaced with ugly generic application icons.

It all started with Buffy. I received the first installment of my much-loved missed episodes, and found my computer couldn't read the data on the disc. I almost cried. We knew the disc would work in Quicktime, so we attempted to open it with that application. Instead, what we did was much much worse. For some reason, my computer decided to open everything -- documents, cds, jpegs -- in Quicktime. My computer was fucked.

So, I took it into work, using the excuse that I wanted to bring it with me on my upcoming business trip, and the IT guys spent all day trying to fix it, to no avail. But one of them gave me his copy of Jaguar, and let me upgrade my system in the hopes that that would fix the problem. And he was right. It fixed the Quicktime problem. However, it created another: the generic icon problem mentioned above. Of course, we had no idea how to fix it, so my beautiful baby was forced to look ugly since November. But on Friday night, I fixed it, because I am the king of my mac. YEAH!

Okay, so I know this sounds gay to most you, so I've decided to include a little something for your enjoyment:
Old Monty Python guy's anti-Bush sentiments
